BBM launches Voice Calling on Android and IOS in February Update
BlackBerry is introducing a voice calling app to support voice calling feature for next update of BBM in February.
A new update in February of BBM will introduce a voice call for Android and IOS devices.
BBM, with over 100 million users had launched BBM voice for BB10 users last year. BlackBerry is now going to launch the feature for Android, iPhone and for BlackBerry OS 5 upwards smartphones in its next coming update. In market BBM Voice is going to compete with popular messaging apps like Viber and Line that are having significant user base in India.
BlackBerry is also planning to introduce the benefits of video calling to its users in coming days.
BlackBerry will release an update to its popular BlackBerry Messenger for Android and iOS that will provide users with free voice calling facility. The update will also permit the users to surf, share content, geographical locations and create BBM channels," said Krishnadeep Baruah, the senior director of channel marketing in Asia Pacific for Blackberry.
Earlier Voice calling is only available for BB10 users.
