SWING COPTER from creator of Flappy Bird is ready to make you addictive again
SWING COPTER FROM CREATOR OF FLAPPY BIRD IS READY TO MAKE YOU ADDICTIVE AGAIN
As now, everyone knows the name Dong Nguyen in the gaming world, who proves that even a simple game like FLAPPY BIRD makes people addicted of it. Flappy Bird is of only 872KB which is a very simple game with very poor UI. The game doesn't have back button option and has bitmap interface. It was so popular that millions of people download it in just few months. Dong Nguyen earns $50,000 in ad revenue per day from that. But very soon Dong Nguyen pull it from Google PlayStore and AppleApp store because he was guilty the game was addictive. Peoples become mad for the game, they play game and upload their high score online and compare with other people.
Then after that many of the creators of the game started making clone of Flappy Bird to fill the void. Even Angry Bird creators, ROVIO, also launched their own Flappy Bird clone. But in-spite of all these fans of Flappy Bird keeps waiting and requesting Dong to change his mind.
After a long interval of wait Dong Nguyen make come back with a new game, its not the Flappy Bird but its A SWING COPTER.
In Swing Copter, he introduces a new Flappy Bird that fly vertically instead of horizontal path. The game size is around 2.5MB and game graphics is bitmap image based. The rules of the games are very simple, you just have to tap to guide the copter through the girders with wrecking balls. Again the game is very simple in its way.
The look and feel of the game is like Flappy Bird but its not Flappy Bird. But the popularity of the Swing Copter in not like Flappy Bird because Flappy Bird is very simple game to play. In Flappy bird we have to just tap the screen to control the bird's movement. But with Swing Copter case is not same, there is no method to control which direction copter will move actually so that results in crashes.
Swing Copter is available for iOS an Android users. It supports Android 3+ version. Swing Copter is available on App Store and PlayStore for free, there is no in App Purchase. It is of around 2.5MB size and there is ad on top. Lets see does Swing Copter makes fans as addicted as Flappy Bird does. The best feature of this game is that it is from creator of Flappy Bird.

Charger that can charge your phone in just 15 minutes
Charger that can charge your phone in just 15 minutes
A charger that can charge your smartphone phone in just 15 minutes has been developed by the researchers. It is an external phone charger. It has been named ‘Petalite Flux battery’. It can charge your smartphone from empty to full in just 15 minutes. It will be launched at the end of the August during the Indiegogo crowd funding.
Development of charger:
Originally this charger was developed by a graduate from the Aston University named Leigh Purnell. The Petalite Flux battery is small enough to fit in your pocket or bag and you don’t even need to plug your phone into electricity socket or computer USB slot.Where to get:
You can per-order the Petalite Flux battery at www.petalite.co.ukAccording to a recent survey, 92% of British people feel tensed if battery of their smartphones runs out. So, to cover up the problem Purnell decided to create the world’s fastest charging external battery. Thus, he established Petalite Battery Systems in 2014.
Leigh is a Technology and Enterprise Management graduate. He said” I founded Petalite Battery Systems to permanently remove the stress and worry of having a mobile phone on low battery when you are out and about. It is an increasingly large problem in modern life, especially if you are relying on your phone to direct you somewhere or are waiting for important information to be sent to you."
Also, UNU Electronics has developed a new Ultrapak Portable Battery Pack Series. This device can charge-up your smartphone sufficiently in 15 minutes to be able to recharge most smartphones completely.
The battery pack is available in two variants: Ultrapak Go and the Ultrapak Tour for $59.99 and $99.99 respectively. The Ultrapak Go has a 3000mAh battery capacity that can fully charge in 30 minutes, while the Ultrapak Tour has a 10000mAh large battery capacity that takes 100 minutes to charge fully.
Charger like these will change the way we use our phone and take off the stress to charge our phone regularly.
Internet connectivity to battery-less devices
Internet connectivity to battery-less devices!?
Soon we will be able to connect to the internet without using any batteries in their devices.A new communication system in which radio signals are used as power source and which then reuses existing WI-Fi infrastructure to provide internet connectivity to the battery-less devices. This way communication was termed as 'Wi-Fi' back scatter. It was bought up by the engineers from the University of Washington.According to the engineers, this technology will play a major role in the concept of 'Internet of things'.
About:
As said by Mr.Shyam Gollakota, a University of Washington assistant
professor of computer science and engineering,"If Internet of Things devices are going to take off, we must
provide connectivity to the potentially billions of battery-free devices that
will be embedded in everyday objects,”He also added “We now have the ability to
enable Wi-Fi connectivity for devices while consuming orders of magnitude less
power than what Wi-Fi typically requires.”
This new way of communication will be soon published at the he Association
for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Data Communication‘s annual
conference this month in Chicago. The team behind 'Wi-Fi' back scatter technology plans to
set up a start up company on the same very soon.
Research and Development:
Wi-Fi back scatter is based on old research according to which low powered devices such as wearable devices or temperature sensors had the capability to run without batteries or cords. This was possible with the help of radio signals in the air.The new research has taken this old research to the next level by providing these devices with internet connectivity.
Challenges:
This technique had to face a set of challenges as providing Wi-Fi connectivity was not an easy task since it required a lot of power consumption. The engineers build an ultra-low power tag prototype that also consisted of an antenna and circuitry that helped Wi-Fi enabled devices to consume less power.Actually Wi-Fi signals moving between the router and the smartphone are looked by these tags.
This Wi-Fi back scatter can provide communication with a Wi-Fi device at a rate of 1kbps with about 2 meters of distance between the devices. The researchers are planning to extend the range to about 20 meters. They will also have patents filed on the technology.
Co-author Joshua Smith, a University of Washington associate professor
of computer science and engineering and of electrical engineering said, “You might think, how could this possibly work when you have
a low-power device making such a tiny change in the wireless signal? But the
point is, if you’re looking for specific patterns, you can find it among all
the other Wi-Fi reflections in an environment."
Thanks to back scatter, soon we will be able to access internet with the help of a wrist watch or any such wearable devices and that also without batteries!
If
Internet of Things devices are going to take off, we must provide
connectivity to the potentially billions of battery-free devices that
will be embedded in everyday objects,” said Shyam Gollakota, a UW
assistant professor of computer science and engineering. “We now have
the ability to enable Wi-Fi connectivity for devices while consuming
orders of magnitude less power than what Wi-Fi typically requires.” -
